Who?
Photo Betties is a community of full- and part-time professional female photographers who share ideas and inspiration about our craft, as well as collaborate with other artists, vendors and individuals, to enrich our work and lives. We document relationships… connections… life and all its details, including weddings, portraits, everyday moments and special celebrations.
What?
We support one another in a fun, collaborative and professional environment through social outings, events with spotlight speakers, group assignments, critiques, brainstorming and volunteer events, as well as promote the visibility and creativity of local and emerging female photographers.
We’re here to celebrate, market and call attention to all the amazing reasons why it’s great to be a chick with a camera – as well as to encourage each other – to keep evolving our personal vision to the next level. It’s not about Man vs. Woman or slicing the competition or finding an outlet to voice frustrations. It’s about sharing positivity, creativity and feedback. To elevate our work. A chance to come together to have fun, discuss why we love what we do, and motivate one another.

Why?
Photo Betties was founded by two female photographers, Jenna Walcott and Heather DiPiazza, who believe that together, we women can unite and help each other grow creatively, market our unique styles and talents, and build strong, unique businesses. With a rich network of support and resources, our goal is to keep refreshing our individual “viewfinders” (peppering in some wine and conversation as well!), and create an environment to inspire and breed prosperity among us all.
When?
In addition to content shared on our website, meetings and other events are held in the Philadelphia area, where we are based. If live in or are visiting the area we welcome you to join in; events are held several times throughout the year and are posted on our site.
How?

Hi there! I was referred to you by my friend Sarah Schulte. I love the idea of this, how cool! I have built a good (small) network of ladies for myself and we have always said it would be nice to meet, but with business, kids, and daytime jobs (some of us, haha), it’s tough!
