Who is the photographer that inspires you most?
Michelle Anderson – she’s fun, insanely creative, and her sessions are bold and full of love.
Tell us about your very first shoot:
My first shoot was of a friend’s seven-week-old baby. I asked her if I could come over to practice. It resulted in a photograph that not only got into a juried art show in Center City, but won an award and was purchased by a private collector. Looking back, I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew I was on the right track!
What’s the one thing in your bag you’d throw yourself in front of a speeding train for?
Nothing! Materials just aren’t worth it to me.

My family – my happy baby girl, Ava Paulina, my hubby, JP, and our pets (2 cats: Hank and Betty Dee, 2 wiener dogs: Stretch and Rambo)!

What are the top 5 things on your Photographer’s Wish List?
Oohhhhh! A sweet natural light studio so we do not have to freeze in the winter, a Nikon D3x (drool), Nikon 24-70mm lens, an Epiphan!e Camera Bag (Lola in red), an office complete with a LARGE computer screen—Mac of course.
What do you find most difficult about being a photographer?
All that time behind the computer!
What do you find most rewarding?
Being touched by my amazing clients. They come from all walks of life and have truly inspiring stories. I love to be a part of it all, to document the highest of highs, memories that will be cherished for lifetimes to come.
Caitlin is an amazing photographer. She has that unique eye that can capture a simple moment and make it quite special. We love her work!
